The narrative universe of the author is enriched by this collection of stories in which he embarks on new explorations into the human condition. Nostalgia, loss of adolescence, the adventures and the misfortunes of a Peruvian living in a no mans land between two worlds are some of the themes present in this work, which Bryce tackles in magisterial fashion. This time some of the characters have experience and maturity enough to try and settle old scores in their own pasts. Bryce reminds us, in the style of Camus, that literature is an effective way to metaphysically rebel against the absurdity of life
